Tesla has introduced two fresh hues, Stealth Grey and Ultra Red, to its lineup for the Model Y.

Tesla has refreshed its Model Y offerings in the US by unveiling two additional colors – Ultra Red and Stealth Grey – previously exclusive to the Model S and X. The Model Y's color palette has remained relatively unchanged, but the addition of these hues signifies a long-awaited update for US buyers.

Interestingly, these newly introduced colors closely resemble existing options, effectively replacing Midnight Silver Metallic and Multi-Coat Red. Stealth Grey now serves as the standard "included" color, effectively taking the place of Midnight Silver Metallic at no extra cost. Meanwhile, Ultra Red is available as a premium option at $2,000.

Though Tesla's website showcases these colors, their representations might exaggerate the vibrancy and saturation. Real-world comparisons between Ultra Red and Multi-Coat Red on other Tesla models reveal subtle differences in depth and darkness.

The introduction of these shades marks the first update in Model Y colors since its US debut. However, the changes don't diverge drastically from Tesla's previous palette; they essentially represent variations of grey and red, replacing their similar counterparts.
