Tesla Boosts Referral Program with Enhanced Discounts and Rewards
Tesla has introduced exciting updates to its referral program, offering greater incentives for both buyers and referrers. This revamped initiative includes larger purchase discounts and higher rewards, with the added benefit of a refreshed referral count, enabling even seasoned participants to rejoin the program.
Expanded Discounts for New Purchases
The new program provides discounts of up to $2,000 USD on vehicle purchases, covering the entire Tesla lineup in the United States, including the Cybertruck. Buyers of Model S, X, and Cybertruck are eligible for the full $2,000 discount, while Model 3 and Model Y purchasers receive $1,000 off. In Canada, the discount goes up to $2,600 CAD but excludes the Cybertruck and Model 3.
Inventory vehicles are eligible for these discounts, making it possible to secure demo units at reduced prices. However, used vehicles remain excluded. Coupled with Tesla’s current 0% financing offer for FSD purchases, this marks an ideal moment to consider a new Tesla, especially as federal EV incentives in North America could expire soon.
Increased Referral Rewards
The reward for referrers has also surged, reaching $1,000 USD in the United States and $1,300 CAD in Canada. This represents the most substantial referral incentives Tesla has offered to date. These rewards can be applied toward future vehicle purchases, Tesla accessories, Supercharging credits, or service costs, with a maximum accumulation of $10,000 USD or $13,000 CAD.
Additionally, referrers may gain exclusive invitations to future Tesla events. Speculation suggests these could include launches like the Model Y Juniper or Tesla’s highly anticipated $25,000 next-gen vehicle.
Referral Limit Reset
Participants who previously reached the referral cap can now take advantage of the reset. The updated program reinstates the 10-referral limit, which resets annually or whenever Tesla modifies the program.
These updates, currently available in North America, have yet to roll out in other regions like Europe and China. However, Tesla is expected to expand the enhanced benefits globally soon.
