A recently discovered Tesla Model 3 Performance was sighted at the Kennedy Space Center.

It seems that Tesla may have brought the enhanced Model 3 Performance to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, sparking excitement within the EV community when images of the all-electric performance car surfaced on social media.

The photograph of the vehicle initially emerged on the r/TeslaModel3 subreddit, where user u/ChaddoSan highlighted that the Model 3 depicted appeared to be a new performance variant. Notably, the car was fully uncovered and positioned next to a truck adorned with a NASA Kennedy Space Center logo.

Enthusiasts swiftly drew parallels between the unveiled Model 3 at the Kennedy Space Center and two upgraded Model 3 Performance units spotted in Valencia, Spain, in late February. Similar to the Valencia sightings, the recently sighted vehicle boasted a more aggressive front fascia and larger wheels compared to the standard Model 3 RWD and Long Range variants.

Key insights about the anticipated upgraded Model 3 Performance were gleaned from the Valencia sightings, including the presence of a dedicated "Ludicrous" badge at the rear, bucket racing seats, a larger rear diffuser, spoiler, and new aero wheels. Interestingly, the Model 3 at the Kennedy Space Center sported non-aero wheels.

Although Tesla has not provided an explanation for the presence of the upgraded Model 3 Performance at the Kennedy Space Center, it's worth noting that the location boasts the esteemed Launch and Landing Facility (LLF), renowned for its extensive 3.2-mile runway. The site has attracted attention from car enthusiasts, with vehicles like the Bugatti Chiron and the McLaren Speedtail conducting high-speed runs there.

Anticipation is mounting for the release of the enhanced Model 3 Performance. With fully uncovered units spotted both domestically and internationally, coupled with reports of a North American electric vehicle manufacturer inviting international media to test drive its new "Ludicrous" model, expectations are running high.
