Tesla Integrates Cybertruck into Its Referral Program

In a recent update, Tesla has included the highly anticipated Cybertruck in its referral program, marking another significant change to enhance customer engagement. Back in August, the automaker overhauled its referral system to provide greater flexibility and value, shifting from conventional credits to versatile gift cards applicable for a wide range of Tesla products, including new vehicles, accessories, and services.

New Financing Options Lead to Referral Program Adjustments

This week, Tesla also introduced an enticing financing offer, featuring 0% interest on the Model 3 and Model Y, regardless of whether customers opt for the Full Self-Driving (FSD) package. Accompanying this change, the referral program has been slightly modified for buyers. While referrers still earn a $500 bonus for each successful referral, purchasers of the Model 3 and Model Y will now receive a $500 discount, reduced from the previous $1,000. Meanwhile, discounts on the Model S and Model X remain at $1,000, unchanged from prior terms. Until now, despite the Cybertruck being part of the FSD Transfer initiative, it had not been eligible for referrals, preventing discounts for buyers and referral bonuses for referrers.

Cybertruck Now Part of the Referral Incentives

Earlier in the month, Tesla began selling the non-Foundation-Series Cybertruck, with prices starting at $79,990. Notably, the truck is now available to all customers, not just those who made prior reservations. With this latest move, Tesla aligns the Cybertruck’s incentives with its other vehicle models, integrating it into the referral program for U.S. customers.

With this integration, referrers can earn $500 for each Cybertruck referral, while buyers can enjoy a $1,000 discount on their Cybertruck purchase.

Tesla's revamped referral program now encompasses all its vehicles except the Tesla Semi, which aligns with previous expectations. It is anticipated that the Cybertruck will soon be added to the referral program in Canada as well. Tesla owners are encouraged to share their referral codes with family and friends or utilize them for ordering additional Teslas.
