Tesla Improves FSD Camera Obstruction Alerts with New UI Update

Revamped Warning System

Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) update now provides more specific alerts when a camera's visibility is compromised. Instead of receiving multiple generic notifications, drivers will now be informed of the exact camera that’s obstructed and warned that Autopilot features may be limited.

New Camera-Obstruction Notification

A new alert, visible at the bottom left of the UI for Model 3 and Model Y drivers, provides additional details about the obstruction, including a thumbnail of the affected camera. The alert also gives drivers tips on how to improve camera visibility and can be easily dismissed.

Detailed Camera View Option

Tesla has added a “View” button to give drivers a detailed look at the obstructed camera’s location on the vehicle. By tapping it, users can open a modal that shows a diagram of the car, pinpointing which camera is affected and offering a larger view of the obstruction.

Visual Aid for All Cameras

This new feature isn’t limited to front-facing cameras. The update now provides detailed views for all external cameras, which can range from seven to eight depending on the Tesla model. This makes it easier for drivers to identify and resolve obstructions in various camera locations.
