Tesla Launches Most Affordable Car: Long Range Model 3 RWD with 363-Mile Range at $34,990

Tesla has reintroduced the Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive variant, starting at $42,490. Thanks to its Long Range batteries, it qualifies for the $7,500 federal EV rebate, applied directly at the point of sale. This rebate makes it the most affordable Tesla model, priced at $34,990 after the rebate. This is $4,000 less than the standard RWD model with the smaller LFP battery.

Improved Range

The Long Range RWD variant offers an impressive range of 363 miles (compared to 341 miles for the AWD and 272 miles for the standard RWD) and a 0-60 mph time of 4.9 seconds (versus 4.2 seconds for the AWD). This makes the new Long Range RWD Model 3 Tesla’s longest-range economical vehicle (Model 3 / Model Y). The Model S AWD boasts an impressive 402-mile EPA estimate.

Aside from lacking a front motor for better handling in rough or slippery conditions or a faster 0-60 time, the Long Range RWD is an excellent choice for most drivers.

It's important to note that only the Long Range AWD model can access Tesla's Acceleration Boost, which enhances power and reduces the vehicle's 0-60 time by about half a second.

Availability

Currently, the Model 3 Long Range RWD is available exclusively in the United States and not in Canada.
