The Tesla Cybertruck, which was previously overturned, is now available for purchase once more, with a revised price tag of $289,999.
Following its recent auction sale for $244,000, the Tesla Cybertruck has resurfaced on the market, this time at a Florida dealership aiming to fetch $289,999 for the vehicle. Porsche South Orlando acquired the Cybertruck through a Manheim Auction for $244,000 despite Tesla's no-resale policy. The dealership has now listed the same Cybertruck on its website for the elevated price. The vehicle, identified by its VIN, aligns with the one sold at the recent Manheim Auction.
This particular Cybertruck is the dual-motor, all-wheel-drive variant, and both this model and the Cyberbeast edition are available in limited quantities as Tesla continues to scale up production. As of now, there has been no response from Porsche or its parent company, Volkswagen, regarding inquiries about the resale.
Tesla's original agreement with Cybertruck buyers stipulates that they refrain from selling the vehicle within the first year of delivery, with a potential penalty of "$50,000 or the value received as consideration for the sale or transfer, whichever is greater." Despite this agreement, the Cybertruck in question has undergone multiple transactions since its initial delivery, and it remains unclear how Tesla might enforce this rule. While the automaker reserves the right to refuse future sales to violators, there may be other measures Tesla could take to uphold the specified terms.
The Tesla Cybertruck is presently in limited supply, with numerous reservation holders eagerly anticipating their deliveries. The manufacturing of the Cybertruck takes place at Tesla's Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, and the company has provided an estimated timeline of 12 to 18 months from the commencement of initial deliveries to achieve full-scale production.
Despite the ongoing ramp-up phase, a select few owners have already taken delivery of their Cybertruck units in recent months following the late November delivery event. Additionally, reservation holders who have accumulated sufficient referral credits have the opportunity to expedite their delivery timelines and secure their Cybertrucks sooner.
