The initial owners of the Cybertruck are already putting their personal stamp on their vehicles by adorning them with wraps and tints, showcasing their unique style and preferences.
In just a month since its limited release, Tesla enthusiasts have wasted no time in personalizing their Cybertrucks. These pioneers are exploring various modifications, from vibrant wraps and window tints to protective coverings, making these futuristic vehicles truly their own.
Joe Torbati, the owner of OCDetailing in Fremont, California, has been inundated with inquiries after showcasing his customization work on YouTube. While typical car wraps aim for protection, Cybertruck owners are opting for these changes primarily for aesthetic reasons, according to Torbati.
OCDetailing's recent video revealed a stunning transformation: a matte chrome wrap and tinted windows on the stainless-steel-bodied pickup. With plans underway for more Cybertruck modifications, Torbati noted a significant interest from Tesla employees based at the nearby factory.
The demand for window tints particularly stems from the vehicle's expansive windshield, aimed at reducing sun glare. Additionally, customers are seeking clear protective films to safeguard vulnerable areas from scratches and smudges.
Other detailing companies have also showcased similar modifications in videos, joining the wave of Cybertruck customization. Tesla itself offers black and white wraps for $6,500 on its website, while even their design chief, Franz von Holzhausen, was spotted with a matte black wrap in November.
Moreover, ahead of the vehicle's official release, keen-eyed Tesla fans claimed sightings of a Cybertruck disguised to resemble a Ford F-150 pickup through the use of a custom wrap.
