Tesla's Project Highland Sets Off a Model 3 Onslaught in Europe's Market"

"The recently updated Model 3, also known as Project Highland in the EV community, seems poised to significantly boost Tesla's fourth-quarter delivery figures. Judging by the buzz on social media among electric vehicle enthusiasts, a tidal wave of Model 3s, dubbed the 'Highland tsunami,' is sweeping across Europe.

This new iteration of the Tesla Model 3 is currently exclusively manufactured at the Gigafactory Shanghai, which serves as the company's primary vehicle export center. Fortunately, this facility is also Tesla's largest factory in terms of production capacity. In its Q3 2023 Update Letter, the EV manufacturer reported an estimated annual output of over 950,000 vehicles from this site. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Giga Shanghai has been shipping out batches of the new Model 3 over the past few weeks.

Several of these vehicles have already made their way to Europe, as reported by Tesla enthusiasts and observant EV watchers. In recent days, a plethora of photos and videos showcasing the new Model 3 in various European locales have inundated social media platforms. These range from the inaugural deliveries in Germany to fleets of car carrier trucks laden with the updated Model 3 units in the streets of Paris, France.

Below, you'll find a selection of posts from European EV aficionados highlighting the enhanced Tesla Model 3.

In Q3, Tesla's total vehicle deliveries reached 435,059 units, marking a 6% dip from the 466,140 delivered in Q2 2023. This decrease was partly attributed to the absence of the new Model 3 deliveries during this period. With the updated Model 3 now hitting European markets, Tesla stands a strong chance of achieving its ambitious goal of delivering approximately 1.8 million vehicles by the end of 2023.
