Elon Musk: Tesla Supercharger growth to slow post layoffs

Musk stated regarding the Supercharger network: "Tesla's plan is still to expand it, but the pace for new locations will be slower."

Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed that the expansion of the company's Supercharger network will decelerate, following reports of significant job cuts in the electric vehicle charging division.

"Musk shared on his social media platform X that Tesla remains committed to expanding the Supercharger network, albeit at a slower pace, prioritizing 100% uptime and enhancing existing locations," stated Musk on Tuesday.

Responding to a Tesla owner's inquiry on X regarding a specific Supercharger site in Montana, Musk assured, "It's definitely going to open. Sites currently under construction will be completed, and we'll continue to add more Superchargers to fill any gaps."

Musk's remarks followed reports from The Information and Electrek on Monday regarding the dismissal of Tesla's senior director of charging infrastructure, Rebecca Tinucci, and up to 500 team members. Musk didn't directly address the reports but criticized a Tesla fan account on X for sharing them, citing "leaks of confidential information."
