Elon Musk has announced that Tesla engineers will be stationed overnight on the Texas production line, implying they will spend the night working to ensure seamless operations.

Elon Musk has once again captured the attention of Central Texas residents. In a recent earnings call on January 24, the billionaire entrepreneur issued a warning to Tesla employees in the Austin area, urging them to brace themselves for an exceptionally demanding workload as the production of a new electric vehicle model kicks off.

During the call, Musk expressed his desire for Tesla engineers to fully immerse themselves in the production process, going so far as to suggest living and sleeping on the Austin Gigafactory's production line. According to Business Insider, Musk emphasized the need for sacrifices to be made in order to successfully manufacture Tesla's next-generation EV, slated for release in 2025.

"We really need the engineers to be living on the line. This is not a simple 'it-just-works' scenario," Musk told investors. "The production ramp will be challenging... We'll be practically sleeping on the line. No, not practically, we will be."

News of Musk's directive has sparked reactions on the Austin sub-Reddit, with users discussing their feelings about the prospect of being asked to stay overnight at work. A post featuring the Business Insider article prompted the question, "Austin Area Tesla Employees: How Do You Feel about being asked to sleep at work?"
