Exploring Design Concepts for Tesla's Model Y Redesign - Project Juniper

Since the latest set of refreshed Model Y Project Juniper images appeared online, designers have been busy creating concept vehicles.

Let's explore some of the most intriguing designs they have come up with.

Dominic’s Juniper Render

The main image, shared by @DominicBRNKMN on X, offers a broader view of the potential rear design of the Model Y Juniper. It highlights the new lightbar and incorporates some design elements from the updated Model 3 Highland.

Mike’s Render

@TeslaTruckClub on X shared a front view of the Model Y, which evidently draws inspiration from the refreshed Model 3. While images of the vehicle's front have been scarce, this one provides a clear look. However, there's an interesting detail to note: the headlights span the entire width of the vehicle, seamlessly integrating a front lightbar. It's a clever design touch.

Sugar Design’s Render

Our third render comes from sugardesign_1 on Instagram, who has previously created some stunning renders of the Cybercab/Robotaxi. This particular render is an oblique rear view, showcasing the rear lightbar and the updated taillights of the refreshed Model 3. While it doesn't feature any extravagant elements on the side, it looks clean and sharp, and is probably a good indication of what we can expect in the refreshed Model Y.

Smoke-away’s Video Render

In 2023, SmokeAwayyy on X created a video render of the anticipated Model Y. While it doesn't feature the lightbar, it essentially incorporates all the design elements of the Model 3 onto the Model Y, presented in a sleek video format.

What do you think of these renders? Do you believe Tesla will adopt a different strategy for the Model Y, distinguishing it from the new Model 3? Or will they take a more conservative route, incorporating elements we've already seen in the 2024 Model 3, such as the lightbar shown here? Join the discussion in our forums.
